Brainstorming for your first domain name can be quite a tricky task. The easiest thing to do is to keep it simple. After I had agonized for several days I gave up and settled for my own name. Little did I realize that by doing so I had branded my own name. Four years later with the current trends branding your own name has become the trend. It could also be a business that you already own or trade under.

However there is a lot more to it if you are entering into a highly competitive market like that of business opportunities. The emphasis on this would be to get a domain with those two words or something similar in the domain name without loosing the relevance to it. Also a name like businessopportunity.com would be quite expensive to say the least.

If you are building a website with a particular theme then the domain name again becomes very important and would be more effective if it reflected the theme of your chosen field.
